Hunter Williams 

Born and raised in Northern Michigan, Hunter started is culinary career as a dishwasher at Weathervane, and was salad cook within 3 months.  He has worked his way up in the last 8 years, working at various local restaurants, including time at Sugarloaf resort in Maine, 45 North, and Boyne Mountain, becoming a sous chef in 3 years at the Beach House and Stein Ericksen’s. He is currently a part of an internship program through North Central Michigan College, and is on track to get his Associates in Hospitality Management and a Culinary Certificate through the American Culinary Federation. Hunter is a very ambitious learner and hard worker and will do everything needed to ensure your dining experience is the best in the area, bar none.

Emmy Phillips

Emmy has grown up in Northern Michigan, and offers over a decade of experience in the restaurant industry.  She joined the team as a hostess in 2013 and quickly proved her hospitality skill set, becoming an expert in her field and earning multiple promotions within the company.  Emmy has been an integral part of Barrel Back's growth as a Restaurant.  She has been the constant backbone of the Restaurant and often refers to her role as a lifestyle, not a job.  Emmy's warm demeanor is heartfelt, determined, and driven.  It takes a passionate and motivated person to continuously thrive in a busy and demanding atmosphere, and Emmy does.  When you dine at Barrel Back and meet Emmy, you will not forget her genuine care and dedication in providing an exceptional dining experience.
